Meet Our Instructors: Wendy McFarlane

I started teaching swimming in 2003 and quickly realised I had found my true passion. I get great satisfaction from helping the little ones gain confidence in the water in a fun and positive way, then being able to move on to learning strokes and movement through water. It is always fulfilling to see how proud they are of achieving water skills.

Giving people who have disabilities the freedom of movement in the water is also hugely satisfying. I like to think of this program as promoting functional ability by focusing on what they can do, the positive not the negative - to observe, analyse, modify and adjust.
